Appointments

For non-urgent issues, please follow the guidelines below and choose the right service. An appointment may not be necessary.

This will help us to be more efficient by making an appointment available to you when you need it the most.

How to make an appointment

On normal working days our Patient Coordinators are available between 8am and 6:30pm.

Please phone 01227 284300 to speak to a Patient Coordinator.

When you speak with our Patient Coordinators you will be asked to give a brief description of your care needs.  Any information given to any member of our team will be treated with the utmost confidence.  As well as GPs and nurses, our team has multiple allied health professionals including:

  • Physiotherapists
  • Optometrists
  • Clinical Pharmacists
  • Mental Health Practitioners
  • Social Prescribers
  • Urgent Care Clinicians
  • Nurse Practitioners
  • GP Older Person's Team Clinicians (GPOP)
  • Specialist Nurses (Women’s Health, Chronic Disease)
  • Podiatrist

Our Patient Coordinators are trained to arrange the most suitable appointment for you.

GP Appointments

For urgent, on-the-day care please telephone our Patient Coordinators from 8am.  If we are at maximum capacity, you may be asked to attend the Urgent Treatment Centre

For non-urgent, pre-bookable care, you can telephone our Patient Coordinators or contact us online. A telephone consultation with a GP will be arranged to discuss your health issue. At this consultation, if your GP feels an examination is required, they will arrange for you to attend the surgery in a timely manner. We will endeavour to book telephone or face to face consultations with your own GP to maintain continuity of care.

Online consultations

You are able to submit an online consultation between 8am and 6:30pm on normal working days from Monday to Friday. This is a good option for contacting us about non-urgent issues. They will be triaged by our Patient Coordinators and reviewed by a GP.

Your online consultation may not be viewed for up to 72 hours from the time of submission. Therefore they are not suitable for urgent issues.
